What to expect

On arrival a nurse will check you in and record your vitals signs.

After you arrive in the clinic room, one of our hepatology nurses will discuss your medical history and current problems in detail.  After consulting with the nurse, your physician will obtain additional history and perform a physical examination.  During your visit, your physician will discuss the plan of care in detail and provide you with a timeframe for follow-up and information on how to obtain you laboratory results.  The nurse may also reinforce the plan of care by discussing further with you.

After your visit, you may be sent for laboratory work or other studies.  Many of these studies can be completed the same day, while others will require you to return to the medical center.
